The IPP approval module adds a mandatory purchasing department approval step to the reservation flow. A reservation created by a carrier or dispatcher does not move to confirmed status automatically - it waits for a decision from an IPP user.
Module settings are found in System Settings - Reservation Approval.
Go to System Settings - Reservation Approval and check Activate purchasing department approval (IPP). After saving, the approval flow is activated for all new reservations.
When IPP approval is active, you can configure whether the system holds the time slot reserved while waiting for a decision:
Approvals are performed by users who have been assigned a dedicated IPP role in the system.
