The system offers three independent freeze rules that can be combined. Each targets a different type of action.
All three settings are found in System Settings - Overview, section Reservation Freeze.
Prevents creating a new reservation if its planned start time is too close to the current moment.
Prevents creating any new reservations after a set number of hours from the current moment - regardless of which day or time the reservation targets.
Prevents editing an existing reservation within a set time window around its planned start.
When a user attempts an action blocked by a freeze rule, the system alerts them in two ways:
An administrator can bypass a freeze rule directly in the reservation form. After the resource unavailability message appears, administrators see an additional button:
