The Track & Trace module enables real-time vehicle location tracking via GPS. The current position of a vehicle is linked to the relevant reservation - editors and dispatchers always know where a vehicle is and when to expect its arrival.
Vehicle tracking helps to:
- predict arrivals based on the vehicle's current location
- prepare the dock and staff at the right time
- notify the warehouse of an approaching vehicle well in advance
- evaluate carrier punctuality using real GPS data
- The vehicle is equipped with a GPS unit or the driver uses a mobile app with GPS sharing.
- The vehicle's location is transmitted to Time Slot Control in real time.
- The system links the location to the active reservation based on vehicle identification (LP or reservation assignment).
- The editor or dispatcher sees the current vehicle position in the map view or in the reservation detail.

The module supports integration with external GPS trackers and carrier telematics:
- direct API connection to telematics systems (Webfleet, Samsara and others)
- location sharing via a driver mobile app
- dedicated GPS units installed in vehicles

Module settings are found in Administration - System Settings - General:
- enable the Track & Trace module
- configure the GPS system connection (API key, URL)
- define geofences (zones - alert when a vehicle enters the zone)
- set the location update frequency
